Five Resident Researchers have been represented with management members of the Center for Historical, Anthropological and Cultural Research (AIP) of Panama (CIHAC-AIP) and interested public about his work in 2023 at the Anita Villalaz Theater.

These were Dr. Alfredo Castillero Hoyos with the theme "Democracy and Democracy in Panama under Colombian rule (1821-1903) and Prof. Betzy González with research" The UK Panamanian Magisterium as an example of Panamanian society organized in the 1940s. "

The theme "Anthropology of childhood, an archaeological approach to the breastfeeding and weaning practices of three pre-Columbian peoples of Panama" was also put forward by the archaeologist Veronica pace and the research "Caretaker of our care" by architect Isabel Preciado.

The fifth theme was "Interrelation and continuity of national history narrated by the Panama History Museum" by Prof. Néstor Sánchez.

Dr. Tomas Mendizábal, director of CIHAC-AIP detailed that since 2021, this body has been selecting every year a group of researchers who run a research residence for a period of 6 months to conduct different short-term research projects.

He added that these projects are submitted to the body and evaluated by a jury of international partners, who select best proposals to conduct the work and thus support specific research that can result in the publication of scientific articles, chapters of a book or tuning of a doctoral or master's thesis.

To compete with them, candidates have to have graduate studies at master's or doctoral level in matters related to history, anthropology or culture. The results of the work of resident researchers can be published for the benefit of scientific and academic society in different branches.
