MiCultura and Comptroller set up work table to give continuity to cultural and heritage projects

The Minister of Culture, Carlos Aguilar Navarro and the Comptroller of the Republic, Gerardo Solís, met to set up a work table with the aim of giving way to some projects of the cultural entity that have already passed the public stage and are on their way to saying.

The Minister of MiCultura mentioned that from this Wednesday this table of work between both institutions will start to discuss projects that have to do with the rescue of the heritage both in the province of Panama and in the province of Colón, projects related to our museums, with film production and finally a number of activities that MiCultura has been developing.

Aguilar Navarro described as an excellent and productive meeting with the contrador Solís where the projects of the ministry will be tiptily given and that artists, creative entrepreneurs and so forth can participate in the economic recovery that the country needs now that we are at a new stage of the pandemic and that they will start to feel that the wheel is moving and that they will continue to contribute with their professionalism to the economic development of the country.

The artistic and cultural sector of the creative industries is a sector strongly hit by the whole world situation and Panama doesn't escape from that, but with the support of the counterparty that has a high sensitised with the cultural issue we have been able to solve a number of concerns that have been met by the countercredit personnel, stated the highest cultural authority of the country.

The Minister of Culture also emphasized that "culture is all we have expressed, our beliefs, traditions and heritage but above all we are ourselves in our actions. The culture of Panamanian people is expressed in every detail of our lives, and if we organize them it can become a great engine of economic development for the country."

"The message I give to the whole cultural and creative sector is that we will continue to think, continue to create, have faith in our country, that the national government directed by President Laurentino Cortizo Cohen in conjunction with MiCultura we will continue to work so that culture will continue to develop and that it will face the siege that it deserves as an essential element for the financial development of Panama," expressed the Minister.
