MiCultura and Mop discuss Creative District projects

Panama, 25 August 2020.-Authorities of the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) met with Public Works Minister Rafael Sabonge to discuss issues related to the creation of the Cultural Creative District as well as plans to improve mobility within the Casco Antiguo of Panama City.
During the meeting, MiCultura presented projects that are contemplated at the historic centre with the strategic plans of the living heritage program of the Inter-American Development Bank (BID), among them the construction of the Cultural Creative District, the gastronomic corridor and the restoration of the headquarters to become the National History Museum.
Similarly, plans have been analysed to resolve issues related to the mobility of waste management, parking and safety at Casco Antiguo and will be undertaken through the Casco Antiguo office at MiCultura and with participatory initiatives with the community, restaurants and local businesses.
