< strong > The best works of Roberto Lewis 2023 < / strong >

The Juan Manuel Cedeño Gallery of the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) welcomes from December 18 to January 3, 2024, the exhibition of the winning works and those selected from the Roberto Lewis Visual Arts contest 2023.

The public can get to know the relational piece of art "The Glaring Girl and Other Protests" That earned Pilar Moreno the Grand Prix of this contest, which sends a message of care to people with a diagnosis of mental health.

Similarly the other three main prizes, "Panama Canal timeless workers"prepared by Radamés Pinzzo under the technique of acrylic and charcoal pencil on canvas. "The child"by Moab Ayarza Harris with the use of color and "We are all children of our homeland" from esvio Jeffers Durruthy in acrylic on canvas.

They complete the sample, other works considered by the jury to enhance good work in technologies such as photography, digital art, video art, painting and other disciplines of visual arts.

One of the pieces with a great deal of attention was that entitled "Erendira," developed in oil on canvas by the artist Elvira López Fábrega, who was inspiration for this work in "The amazing and sad story of Irendra and her desolate grandmother, "written by Gabriel García Márquez and reflecting a situation of exploitation of children.

Concerning the guidelines put forward by the contest this year, López Fábrega mentioned that this innovation within means that "the present and future of the arts will be more advanced, because innovation will depend on the artist without a limitation with respect to the technique."

The Juan Manuel Cedeño Gallery is situated within the building known as Las Bóvedas and for this exhibition you will get to the public from Monday to Friday from 8: 00 a.m. to 4: 00 p.m.
