< strong > Panama ratifies and sets up training plan for using technologies for cultural development < / strong >

Following what was agreed at his meeting in Washington in March this year, the Ministry of Culture assumed the Chair of the first group of the first Labour Plan (2023-2025) within the Inter-American Commission on Culture (CIC).

The work plan will develop Methodologies and policies to promote the management and consumption of cultural goods and services in the digital environment, including an online seminar on models, methods and research activities in the field of cultural development.

The aim of the 2023-2025 Work Plan was to have activities that met the mandates and commitments of the Antigua Guatemala Declaration and Plan of Action with respect to "Technology, creativity and innovation as an opportunity to develop strengthening culture," adopted at the Ninth Inter-American Meeting of Ministers and Highest Cultural Authorities, held in October 2022 in Antigua, Guatemala.

To achieve this goal, Member States will be requested to put forward presentations where they can share their experience with the use of technological tools to promote their tangible and intangible cultural heritage.

At this session we propose to put forward information about models, methods and research activities in the cultural field, including using technologies to generate research and cultural goods focused on tangible and intangible, pre-Hispanic, indigenous and Afro-descendant heritage.
