PANAMA INVITED TO PARTICIPATE IN IBEROAMERY CONGRESS OF CULTURE IN PORTUGAL

The next edition of the Ibero-American Cultural Congress, scheduled to be held at Lisbon from November 15 to 17, 2023, will be held with the development of issues such as Cultural Citizenship, Sustainability, Territories, Innovation and Cooperation.
To this congress where 22 countries will be attending, will attend Minister of Culture Giselle González Villarrué who was invited by Portugal's Ministry of Culture through Portugal's ambassador to Panama, Gonçalo Telles Gomes during a courtesy visit to the office of the incumbent of Culture.
According to the organizers, this meeting aims to reflect on culture as a global public good and its cross-cutting importance in public policies to achieve sustainable development.
Representatives of Government institutions, civil organizations and members of different academic, artistic and cultural communities in the region are expected to participate.
The meeting between Minister González Villarrué and the Portuguese diplomat was also an opportunity to discuss technical assistance for the implementation of the Public Libraries Programme, internships and artistic residences and support required for cultural exchange between both countries.
The Portuguese diplomatic representative to Panama reaffirmed his commitment to making efforts to visualize and gain from the marvels of the Cultural Heritage that Panama holds.
