< strong > MiCultura exposes values of the TransStmic Colonial Route at Conatur 2023 < / strong >

As an important window to strengthen the national economy through our tourist benefits and with the aim of promoting the Master Tourism Plan, on Monday 25 September the seventh version of the National Tourism Convention (CONATUR) organized by the Panama Tourism Authority (ATP) and the Panamanian Chamber of Tourism was launched.

For two days, actors from the private, public and academic sectors will come together at the Sheraton Hotel to set up a shared strategy to promote an exchange of experiences, success and tourism products, to innovate and integrate the country's tourism offer to a responsible tourism.

The Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) joins this event with a stand promoting the nomination to UNESCO of the Transitory Colonial Route (RTC), which is a country project that includes a sustainable tourism approach to be designated as World Heritage for its role in the history of the planet's transport and communications, facilitating commercial exchanges.

Similarly, those who get close to the MiCultura space will also be able to get information about the "MiCultura Academy" a Creative Economics platform designed to strengthen their jobs and also get to know the 2024 dates for the National Crafts Fair.

"It's been a wonderful meeting where tourism and culture come together to work with them and to be able to show them their attractions our culture, our identity and we are pleased to show them the Transhistoric Colonial Route and we awaken that this proposal can become the most important attractiveness of the country, and that it starts from the Casco Antiguo and arrives at Portobelo where we have an Afro-American memory museum we continue to work from culture with a tourist who can experience the local and who wants to have a direct contact with those experiences of identity," emphasized the Minister of the Church of the Church.

Besides this stand, MiCultura also takes place with the participation of Wounaan and Guna artisans who will be showing their products, performing body painting and placing the striking wines.

Also as part of the conference schedule, Linette Montenegro, National Director of Cultural Heritage, participated in the Panel "Connecting the Tourist with Panama," referring to the inputs of culture to tourism of the country that has the proposal of the Transistmic Colonial Route.
