To enhance the creative and cultural industries (ICC), José Ramón Icaza, president of the Organizing Commission for Expositions and Events of the Panama Chamber of Commerce, Industries and Agriculture (CCIAP) as well as Expocomer 2024, and members of his work team, were welcomed by the Minister of Culture, Giselle González Villarrué to discuss the participation of the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) at this event.
Expocomer is an activity of great relevance that has been designed from its start to boost the offer of products and services from Panama at international level will be held from March 5 to 7 and will have as its headquarters the Amador Convention Centre, where more than 30 countries from Europe, Asia and America will be present.
At the meeting, Icaza presented to the head of the cultural portfolio a number of initiatives with the aim of energizing this great fair event with the aim of enhancing the value of the creative and cultural industries of Panama.
The CCIAP delegation put forward a proposal for a cultural square with a convergence of different types of economy, such as blue, related to seas and oceans, the green economy with reference to care for natural resources and the yellow economy with reference to science and technology and, finally, the orange economy with reference to creative and cultural industries.
Parallel to Expocomer that at 2024 she's 40 years old, other commercial wineries will be developed such as Expocomer's version 16 and Expocourism's 13th edition where she also looks to project the benefits of our cultural heritage as part of the development of the Master Plan of Sustainable Tourism 202020- 2025.
"It was a productive and interesting meeting with the Expocomer's team, and I congratulate them for their version 40 and will have an innovation that we have described as an attractive one next year, so with this innovation we are seeing the participation of the Ministry of Culture, building on two important pillars, on the pillar of the creative economy and on a second pillar to enhance our cultural heritage," said Cultural Minister Giselle González Villarrué.
"With our presence we have been interested to visualise our whole creative and cultural ecosystem with great creators and also through Exposourism to show the inmaterial cultural heritage and so we have a great work as a whole and as a team with the Chamber of Commerce, to conduct a tremendous event and have a representation with content that will gain value to our sectors," added the best cultural authority.
