Designers join at a virtual fair with an artisan fashion

More than 150 100% Panamanian fashion designers and creators join with them at the first virtual version of the designer's trade fair, called "Amor a Segundo Vista," organized by the Ministry of Culture, through the National Handicrafts Management, on July 25 and 26 at 9: 00 a.m. to 6: 00 p.m., by the web site www.micultura.gob.pa.
Jaime Luna National Director of Handicrafts of My Culture stated that with this type of initiatives the national management of handicrafts aims to promote talent, culture and art in all Panamanians through the sample of fashion design, accessories design and interiors.
The fair will have a lot of vintage clothing from national designers, mascarillas, cocktail nightdresses, accessories among other new creations. That will be a preamble to what will be the Regional Forum of Crafts Fashion in the framework of the Fashion Week of Panama, who are part of the organization of this fashion-related cultural event, added Luna.
One of the groups with which the virtual fair will have been held is the IntegrArte group of the Ministry of Government and Justice with a gateway of girls and boys called 'Little Princesses and Small Princes' who will show a collection of clothing made with costumes and ancestral customs of our native peoples, Panamanian creations made from parumas and mobles.
Other attractions will be artistic and cultural performances as well as artisan tutorials about clothing and a demonstration of how crafts and fashion go hand in hand.
The requirements to participate in this event are: to be a Panamanian, to have an accreditation of a textile artisan and to be accredited to the Super Ya program of the Ministry of Culture.
The sales will be made by online banking, directly to the accounts of the artisan and designer, and the products will be delivered by means of the home delivery services.
That would be the seventh virtual activity undertaken by the Ministry of Culture as online fairs with the aim of supporting artisans and creators of creative industries who through the MiCultura platform can offer their products and solve some of the unemployment problems that have been caused by the covid 19 pandemic.
