EXPOSITS TO CONOcER THE ALBINISM ITEM IN PANAMA

To mark the International Day of Sensitization about people with Albinism, the SOS Albinos Foundation and the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) have been presenting through photo and painting, two exhibitions that can be seen up to June 26 in the corridor of the Koala of the Albbrook Mall Shopping Center.
As part of this activity, the public first noted the works and winners of the 2023 "Mother Earth" painting contest, with children from 8 to 15 at the national level who were inspired by their love for nature and care of the environment.
The exhibition by photographer Lois Iglesias called "The Heart of Light" with more than ten images with a unique beauty, magic symbolism and a variety of colors that reflect the energy and dynamism of children and youth with apbinism.
"Despite being an ethnic Guna, it's the first time I have worked photo with children and young Albines. To me it's been a unique and wonderful experience because I went to their homes for this work and his parents became my assistants and the children have been put up with the stage," emphasized Lois Iglesias.
He responded to Gabriel González, Vice Minister of Culture, and with Enrique Noel, Director of Cultural Rights and Citizenship to conduct an inaugural tape cut that signified the opening of the commercial centre.
Vice-Minister González highlighted the work of the Founding SOS Albinos that has made efforts to Visibilize this community through a number of activities that promote their rights to transmit their art and talents, "because albinism is part of our cultural diversity and that's where we focus, about respect for human right."
On April 27, 2021, President Laurentino Cortizo Cohen passed Act 210 declaring June 13 as a National Day for Sensitization of People with Albinism and other provisions.
