< strong > In search of excellence: MiCultura announces changes to the Roberto Lewis visual arts contest 2023 < / strong >

• The inscriptions of the participating proposals will be received by 3 July 2023 at 4: 00 p.m.
• A total of Thirty and Four A Thousand Balboas will be awarded with 00 / 100 (B /. 34,000.00) in prizes, and will be distributed into four (4) of the works that are awarded.

The Roberto Lewis visual arts contest, with 43 years of continuous editions since its opening in 1980, rewarded artists with the most outstanding works in different technologies such as painting, sculpture, photography and digital art.

On this contest, Isabel Burgos, national director of Las Artes, stated that "in order to raise the level of national artistic work, an evaluative criterion will be transformed, where this time, the event of reward will not be divided into categories, but will be multidisciplinary with the aim of attracting more proposals."

Among the updates to this contest that highlights the talent of visual artists, there will be four winners of any discipline, a great prize of $10,000 and three awards of $8,000 for those selected whose work is distinguished by their Magnificence, mastery of the technique, creative proposal, visual impact and so forth.

According to those established by the rules that govern the competition, they will be able to participate in the XLIII VERSION OF THE NATIONAL CONCURSO OF ROBERTO LEWIS 2023 VISUAL ARTS, all Panamanian artists, by birth or naturalization, age and age, living in or outside the national territory and artists of other nationalities, with more than five (5) years of proven residence in the country, who have to have a certification of their migration status.

The contest will feature two international and one with national representation, all with a track record in the creation, dissemination and criticize of art.
