A diversity of approaches and styles present in photography is the new exhibition that houses the Juan Manuel Cedeño gallery of the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) and with which the Panama Photographic Club celebrates its 47 years of creation.
"It's not easy for the photographer to select a single image and get it out of his own visual and narrative discourse to participate in a collective exhibition. That individual image of each one should be held by herself, amidst a visual explosion with no order or concert or defined theme," was what was expressed by Rafael Roca, president of the Panama Photographic Club during the opening event of this exhibition that will be held up to May 31.
The sample that includes in about 100 images in size 12 × 16 that manifests the creativity of the artists of the lens that does not reflect only individual art but also the artistic expression of an entire collective and a society impregnated with colors, that radiates beauty and in which the photographers that make up this collective have been sutily to capture them free.
"We have to be lucky to be able to appreciate at this exhibition, not only traditional photographs of the authors of 50 professionals but also a collective mural created with images with the peculiarity that the design was obtained by means of artificial intelligence techniques showing that the continuous upgrade and training are also considered for every day to do better work," stated Gabriel González, Vice Minister of Culture.
To visit this exhibition and get to know more about the authors of this interesting sample, you can get close to the Plaza de France, inside the building of the Bóvedas lies the gallery, with a schedule from Monday to Friday from 8: 00 a.m. to 4: 00 p.m. and from 9: 00 a.m. to 3: 00 p.m. weekends.
The Panama Fotographic Club has a membership of 70 partners. At the current exhibition, 50 of these partners participate, who have select one work each to be exhibited. Due to space constraints, a rule has been established to display only one work per author in the sample.
