MiCultura takes you to conduct a virtual tour of the pollera National Festival

Panama, 17 July 2020. The Ministry of Culture (MiCultura), through its Folklore National Directorate, binds itself with the 2020 version of the pollera National Festival with a number of activities that the audience can enjoy through the institution's digital platforms as Youtube and Facebook.
The events that have been organized by MiCultura have been initiated on Wednesday, July 15 with an augment contest from the pollera and nightsittings, where girls and knights of all ages are invited to take a photo properly attested with typical clothing, they put them up to their instagram account by referring to the accounts of @ miculturapma, @ jeweliaanaisanai and @ leoneslt08 with the tags # MyPollerMyCulture # MyysillaMyCulture # MyCultivesHome
For this contest will be taken into account the photos shared up to July 22 at 7pm, and the ladies that participate can use necks from any region of the country. On July 18, a distinguished panel of experts will be talking about the "historic background and evolution of the national pollera festival" at 10ham, while on Sunday 19 a chronology will be presented with the aim that the public will know about this convergence of the Santa Librada Civil Festivals with all the contest that will be held as part of the pollera National Festival.

The National pollera Festival has been held since 1957, within the framework of the Santa Librada Civil Festivals in the town of Las Tablas. It was officially established by Act 50 of 24 November 1961 and takes place on 22 July of every year and this year as a result of the COVID 19 pandemic, MiCultura invites them to maintain the legacy of this holiday but in a virtual manner.
