The Vice Minister of Culture (MiCultura) Gabriel González launched the first International Master Class Events and Wedding Meeting "A look at people with disabilities in the event industry," organized by Meetings Panama and Noun Events and Executive Training, which aims to strengthen the tourism and entrepreneurship industry and to include people with disabilities in the event industry.

The day began with sign-language teaching, with greetings and welcome by MiCultura's opportunity matching personnel, followed by the opening words of Vice Minister González, who shared the actions and work that are undertaken with social inclusion, implemented and focused on the challenges of institutional strengthening, cultural accessibility and the project Expresso Te Arte.

González explained that "this first meeting is the best place to continue to train and sensitised about the importance of social inclusion, not as a quimera difficult to achieve but as a viable, potential and permanent project."

"For our country, this initiative contributes to the fulfilment of the historic vocation of the Panamanian isthma, as a bridge of the world, of transit and of meetings, at the service of mankind," she added.

The event included national and international exhibitors, who addressed issues such as: Transformer solutions to an inclusive development: the role of innovation to promote an accessible and equitable world; introduction to the event industry, among other issues related to the issue of inclusion and conduct of events.

During the event, MiCultura participated with a group of artists from invited foundations and the presentation of a group of young artists from the Special Programme of the Network of Orchestra and Youth Choirs of Panama.
