A high quality show was held at the National Theater with the masterful performance of the Japanese violinist, 21-year-old Hina Maeda accompanied by the National Symphony Orchestra (OSN) directed by master Jorge Ledezma Bradley.
Maeda was the winner of the last version of the international violin contest Henryk Wieniawski, held every five years in Poland and that's considered the most important in the world for youth under 30.
As part of his prize for his success, Maeda was scheduled for a global tour with 60 presentations and Panama had the honour to be elected as the first of three to visit the American continent, an accomplishment that was achieved by the management of Poland's embassy in Panama and the Ministry of Culture.
From an early hour of the afternoon, the public began to sign up to get into the National Theater where they could first enjoy the executions of the OSN with productions of Johannes Brahms, Symphony N ° 4 at Mi minor, opus 98 Allegro non tropo, Andante moderato, Allegro giocosa and Allegro energetic and passionato.
Then came the turn for Maeda who completely captured the attention of the audience with the performance of the work of Henryk Wieniawski, Concerto N ° 2 for violin and orchestra at Reo minor with his movements: Allegro moderato, Romance - wander non tropo and Allegro moderato a la zingara.
Poland's Ambassador to Panama, Leszek Bialy emphasized that Maeda's presence in Panama forms part of the 90-year conduct of diplomatic relations between both countries and that they have been conducive to closer approaches in cultural and socio-economic fields.
Meanwhile his deputy minister, Gabriel González, held that after 143 years of his physical death, Henryk Wieniawski, "has summoned us with his art and his talent through his virtuous hands" to commemorate his 90 years of diplomatic relations.
Mr. González emphasized, inter alia, that an important pillar of diplomatic relations had been the convention for cultural and scientific cooperation established by Panama and Poland in 1978 and had been an opportunity to conduct important activities with regard to the arts.
