The great devils festival was filled with color, dance and rhythm

A great parade with the participation of 300 dancing devils was the main attractiveness of the second version of the Fest de Densan that began at Santa Ana's Plaza, went through San Felipe's central seventh Avenue and ended at Independence's Plaza with artistic performances of different dances.

The event organized by MiCultura (MiCultura) jointly with Online Crafts called for different groupings from different regions of the country, with a number of artistic and cultural expressions.

Nationals and foreigners enjoyed folk performances, sale of Panamanian crafts, masquerades and paila chefs from the "Taste of the Barrio" program of the Office of Old Town (OCA) of MyCultura.

The festival filled with color, dance and rhythm had for the first time an exhibition of statues of devils from Chile, Mexico, Venezuela, Guatemala and Panama, as well as a representation of two carpets with sand and salt, a tradition that takes place at the party of Corpus Cristi.

During the activity, experts with knowledge of cultural expressions gave teaching to the interested public about the interiors and different dances that were attending the event, with the aim of highlighting the Panamanian manifestations that are part of the list of cultural intangible heritage of the UNESCO.

Giselle González Villarrué, Minister of Culture, "thanked those present for living closely and sharing with families, a day filled with cultural expressions."

Yessenia Sánchez, director of the OCA detailed that "with this and other activities we seek to enable public spaces with a varied cultural agenda, that people who visit the Casco have a different experience and that they recognize cultural expressions as their part."

For his part Alexander Alarcón of the organizing committee mentioned "the call was very good, the activity had been widely accepted, we believe we are on a good path to maintaining a legacy that will later grow."
