With a musical program of more than ten themes with letters from Panama, the nationalist struggles, hope and love among other feelings, was held in the province of West Panama, the first concert 2023 of the national identity tour that is run by the Panamanian singer Rómulo Castro and the group Tuira under the organization of the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) in partnership with the company Tamayo Records.
That presentation that had as its stage the 19 December Park in Chame District, Province of West Panama forms part of this tour that will conduct different provinces and other locations of the country, including the region of Guna Yala.
That musical event is complemented with a cultural offer that includes local artists and exhibitions, providing support to established and emerging talents and especially for entrepreneurs and artisans to show their products and works of art.
For this first new season concert, the group Santos DEN was in charge of opening up the event, where the public enjoyed an interesting fusion of sounds by experienced musicians with long musical careers and that, based on their experiences and musical trends, combine genres such as rock, salsa and jazz among others.
The "Identity" tour is a proposal by the National Government to promote through music the participation of local artists, art exhibitions, gastronomy and sale of crafts and other cultural activities for the whole Panamanian family.
The next locations and dates scheduled for this tour are: Veraguas on April 22, Guna Yala on May 13, Chiriquí at David and Boquete, June 15 and June 17, respectively, Isla Colón at Bocas del Toro on July 15.
While in Colón province there will be two stops on 9 and 23 September at the centre of this province and at Portobelo. The route also mentions the provinces of Herrera and Darién, to conclude on 11 November in Panama province at Porras Park.
