With the introduction of three new literature competitions, the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) announced a schedule of closing dates, announcement of winners and award winners of the 2023 arts awards and festivals.
The short novel contest, Ariel Barria, will be introduced for this year and will be closed on August 17, and the Youth Stories contest, Rosa María Britton, will be closed on June 19 and the other new contest will be that of Literary Critics, Pedro Correa Vásquez and will be closed on June 13.
The national Literature contest, Ricardo Miró, with June 30 closing date, the Children and Youth Literature contest, Carlos Francisco Changmarín for July 7, and the Young Poetry contest, Gustavo Batista with July 23 and the Children's Counting contest, Medio Poltito with May 31 deadline, have been held.
To these contest are added the national and traditional awards that are that of musical composition, Roque Cordero and Visual Arts, Roberto Lewis.
The Rosa María Britton Youth Stations contest aims to achieve youth participation between the ages of 13 and 18 while the Literary Critics contest aims at training literary critics and winners will be supported by MiCultura for his work's publication.
It has also been established that by 2023 those interested in participating in the Ricardo Miró and Roberto Lewis contest have to send the documentation by entering the website of the Ministry of Culture and applying to the site of the contest's bases.
The basis for each contest and prize will be published at an appropriate time at the Cultural Ministry's website at www.MiCultura.gob.pa.
