"Women of the art that inspire," a sign that promotes the participation of ladies in the arts

About 25 women who stand out as writers, crafts and painters participated with an exhibition and contiguous on March 11 and 12 of the event "Women of the Art that inspire them," at the Atrio Mall Shopping Center in Eastern Coast and that was organized by the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura).

In the event that was moderated by the National Director of The Arts of MiCultura, Isabel Burgos were artists from different art disciplines such as Dilsa Rivera, plastic and teaching artists, Melany Taylor, violinist and musicotapist, Linkh López, plastic artist, Katia Arjona, writer, and Natalia Beluche, theatelist.

The guests told viewers about their experiences and how they combined their professions with their roles within their families and how long they dedicated them to their artistic activity.

Similarly, they also agreed with the opening up of more spaces for women at galleries, commercial centers, exhibitions and media so that they can be more visible, as well as with women's motivation to participate in different activities and competitions that promote their talent.

The attendees of the exhibition have been able to delight with works such as Mar Turquesa, Corazzo de María, Reaching My Dreams, Lyrana and Metro Bank Café, among others.

Also writers Telsy Sánchez, Sharon Pringle, Linda Astwood, Elizabeth Hay shared his writings with the public attending the event.

With respect to this initiative, Burgos detailed that the activity that was undertaken as part of the commemoration of International Women's Day was intended to highlight the fundamental role that women dedicated to art have, especially those living with them and so that the public will know about that talent that they have and that enrich our country.
