< strong > MiCultura CONTRIBUYE TO FUNCTION OF ACAMpADOC DOCUMENTAL SCHOOL < / strong >

The twelfth International Documentary Film Festival ACAMPADOC will be awarded with the support of the Cinema Section of the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) and will give scholarships to 12 students from the provinces and comarcas of Panama.

ACAMpadOC is the first festival in Central America and the great cabe specialized in the formation, conduct and promotion of the documentary genre to the rescue of the heritage. His twelfth will be held from 5 to 12 August next at the Villa of Los Santos.

Young people are invited to participate in learning how to make films with an approach to the preservation of cultural heritage in Panama - said Irina Ruiz, co-ordinator of the initiative.

Those interested to apply to the grants of The Camp ACAMPADOC have to write a proposal for a short term of five minutes framed with the theme: Voices of rural activity.

The grants have been put into practice and intensive training by well-known Ibero-American teachers, technological equipment, complete food, accommodation and ground transport.

The films performed by the students will seek to rescue vocal expressions of rural peasantry's own in their daily work. Among the research activities are suggested: milking, grazing or pounding, plain or fishermen's laments, tonal whistling, salomas and versos to sow or sew, vocal disputes, shouting, beating, and prayer, among many affected by social changes of today's world.

The call will be closed on 30 April 2023 and notice to fellows will be made public on 10 May through the web cencadoc.com
