Teatologists, MiCultura and Miviot will form a work table

Panama, June 22, 2020.-The Ministry of Culture, jointly with the Ministry of Housing and Territorial Management and the Association of Teatologists of Panama (ASTEP), will set up a work table to find mechanisms for solving the situation across the country's theater halls with regard to rental issues following the crisis caused by the pandemic.

The representatives of both state institutions have stated that they will accompany the national theatologists in setting up both civil and individual formulas to help the survival of the sector.

According to Raúl David Polo, Director of Leases at MIVIOT, these jobs with the leasers and tenants have been performed and, as a result of these meetings, they have been computed at an average date to come to an agreement on issues such as the rental fee and that they can be technically shown what their possibilities are and that together we have found the best alternatives.

Daniel Domínguez, Director of the Arts of MiCultura, expressed his gratitude for the receptivity of theatelists to discuss these issues interintersectially and emphasized that the idea of these meetings is that there be concrete approaches and we propose a rainy sessions of ideas so that together we can find solutions in this unexpected situation for all.
