Barrier free talent at the 4th inclusive gala

On Saturday 3 December, the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) held the fourth inclusive gala under the motto "Don't leave me in sight" with a complete feature, at the National Theater commemorates International Day of Persons with Disabilities, with more than 100 artists with disabilities participating and offering excellent staging.

The gala was filled with a waste of talent, where different disciplines were expressed by each of the protagonists where they filled us with emotions through the works of theater, poetry, music, dance and more, and also had artistic presentations from the embassies of the People's Republic of China, Libya and Morocco that gave a great show as part of their commitment to inclusive culture

Gabriel González, Vice Minister of Culture, stated that "barriers have to be removed to achieve the inclusion of persons with disabilities on an equal footing."

The cultural authority added that "the promotion of artistic and cultural events from the extraordinary contribution of persons with disabilities is the goal that forms part of the promotion of an inclusive and dynamic culture in our country."

For his part, singer Luis Mario stated that "It's a pride to work at this gala as a producer at a theater with artists with some degree of disability, where it's vital that people who came to the National Theater can realize that there's no pity but to see the family's capacity and support"

"It's been gratifying for me to learn from other types of disabilities at this gala, there's a general awareness," added the Panamanian artist.

The concert culminated with the presentation of the special program of the Network of Orchestra and Youth Chors of Panama, run by Professor Anabel Urbina, and where 30 young people with different disabilities delight the public with an artistic presentation where they delight the public at the rhythm of instruments such as piano, bell and drummer performing songs, sign chorus and so on.
