The Ministry of Culture through the national direction of Museums will join with the development of Panama's National Universal Accessibility Plan 2022-2032, with the aim of providing accessibility to persons with disabilities by implementing projects in transport, construction, communication technologies and public roads.

The national director of museums of MiCultura, Anayansi Chicpacho will be responsible for representing the entity at the building table to make the necessary adjustments to facilitate the access of people with reduced mobility to the different buildings of the government sector.

The Panama National Universal Accessibility Plan (2022- 2032) is a mechanism that the State proposes through the National Disability Secretariat (SENADIS) to enforce laws that place universal accessibility as one of its pillars for social inclusion of persons with disabilities and their families.

Following his establishment of this work table, his deputy Minister of Culture, Gabriel González, recalled that his work forms part of the commitments that are set out in his Government program, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen.

For his part, Iris de Valenzuela, director of SENADIS stated "that an inclusive society believes that all people that make up them have equal opportunities and so it's time that we undertake a project that will allow us to build them with each other and for the participation of all."
