Students from San Miguelito culminate artistic program with social character

The Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) put an end to the first phase of the "Art as a tool for social intervention and transformation" program that lasted 3 months of work, benefiting 455 prekinder students up to the sixth degree of the Martin Luther King School, Arnulfo Arias, in the San Miguelito District.
Enrique Noel, national director of cultural rights and citizenship at MiCultura, stated "that culture is a human right and that our whole mission has to do with helping culture and art to understand us."
"To better express ourselves and have new ways of living life, we also note that most boys and girls greatly improved their self-esteem with these workshops," Noel added.
The closing event had several cultural presentations by students at different levels of the educational centre, among them folkloric, musical, classical ballet, dramatizations and Celumetapra's works.
The activity was attended by Enrique Noel, national director of cultural rights and citizenship, Raúl Wilson, regional director of San Miguelito and Jam Carrera and director of the Martin Luther King School and Trudy Kirton, a communal board and representatives of other institutions.
