KNOWLEY FASTS TO BE EXHIBITED IN A MUCH REINITIATIVE WINNER CARRIER

As part of the work of renewal and re-opening of the Reina Torres de Arauz Anthropological Museum (MARTA) are documenting the pieces that will be exhibited to the public, thus marking the start of the phase of the Museography that will culminate in 2023 with the complete opening.

The Minister of Culture, Gisselle González Villarrué emphasized that the advance of the work of restoration of the MARTA and the display of pieces, including those that have been retrieved represent "the rescue of our identity, of our history as a source of social cohesion and collective pride, and also serve as an economic motor for Panamanian cultural tourism."

Meanwhile, the national director of museums of MiCultura, Anayansi Chichaca added that "among the pieces that were measured there are thirty and eight (38) pieces of gold, three hundred (300) of ceramics and more than a hundred (100) of politics."

The experts charged with the monitoring of the pieces will develop with the Ministry of Culture audiovisual materials, including graphic materials that will help to enrich the museum work, and once they have been completed they will have an opportunity to be appreciated by the public by mid 2023.

For repatriated pieces they will be studied by the MARTA Board, to specify their archaeological context and at the same time to observe and evaluate their status.

Chichaca added that "with their measurements and information, we can put up the graphic material to start the phase of museography, where first we measure, design, production and install."

"Now there are some schematic designs that will be put into construction plans more than anything to produce and install them and this part is run by the company Croques Cultura of Barcelona, Spain and contracted by the Consorcio Cen, to give care to this phase," remarked the National Director of Museums.
