Panama Becks Hosting International Folkloric Meeting

Folkloric joints and ballets from countries such as Mexico, Colombia, Argentina, Peru, Italy and Ghana will be part of the International Cultural Meeting "I Want To Dawn" to be held in Panama from November 17 to December 2.

This cultural event is organized by the "Association I Want To Dawn" and this year is once again supported by the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura).

According to their organizers, they will be different locations of Panama West and Panama Center where delegations will offer a show full of dance, Folklore and Culture, that will be complemented with a fair of crafts and gastronomic vereda dedicated to the countries that are participating.

According to Oliver Coronado, president of the association "I Want To Sunrise" this event is important because it's not only a great cultural exchange of traditions, music, dressings but also an economic injection for their place and an opportunity for local artisan to create imported products.

For his part, Emma Gómez, coordinator of Intangible Cultural Heritage of MiCultura, advanced the work of the members of the Association I wish to dawn to re-engage with the organization of this meeting that represents that firmness of keeping that heritage alive and all folkloric expressions.

He added that actions undertaken through the co-ordination of Cultural Intangible Heritage are intended to safeguard and train, so that the essence of the customs and traditions of the country's heritage cannot be distorted.
