With literary gala and awards are held eight decades of the Ricardo Miró Literature Award

.- The Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) gave its main literature awards on Friday, October 21 at a gala that was filled with emotions, artistic performances and a meeting of great writers, to celebrate the 80 years of the most important and old literary contest in the country as it is, the National Prize for Literature Ricardo Miró.

The evening that was held at the National Theater began with his poetry "La Móvil de Tuca" by Carlos Francisco Changmarín, beamed beautifully by the girl Camila Palomo, an opportune time for Isabel Burgos, national director of La Artes to give the awards of the National contest of Children and Youth Literature Carlos Francisco Changmarín to Eyra Harbar for his work "Bus Esperanza" and the prize of Young Poesia, Gustavo Batista to the work "Tremor and Fate" of the Basque Eleptio González.

That literary gala includes a cultural program with the participation of Luis Troetsch with the tenth Palito de Uvero, composed by Carlos Francisco Changmarín. Also, the National Ballet of Panama was introduced with "A Atravesao" and "Diablitos Espejos."

He responded to Giselle González Villarrué, Minister of Culture, and his medal was awarded to Dimitrios Gianareas Gil with "500 km," and to Héctor Rodriguez Cedeño for "El Estanque de Narcissuo," and to Rogelio Guerra Ávila for his novel "La Miscelánea," as well as to his stage with his name "A Elephant in the Room" and his corresponding awards.

"Panama today honors the work of the Ricardo Miró Literary Contests, Carlos Francisco Changmarín and Gustavo Batista Cedeño as a commitment and responsibility of the Ministry of Culture to promote reading, consolidate our writers' talent and to uphold their works," emphasized Minister González Villarrué.

The Minister invited them to reflect and "face up to the challenge of performing the historic role and responsibility that each person has to face with this generation, and to teach them how to enjoy his reading with passion, because the books make us free."

He added that "it's a means of expression of the soul, through which we recognize ourselves, we find ourselves and we grow with wisdom at a personal level and as a society, but above all, it makes us transcend as people and as a country."
