MiCultura recognizes track record of theater production managers at the end of the Teatro festival

Due to his contributions to the growth of the Panamanian theater, the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) through the National Direction of The Arts at the Balboa Theater recognized Friday, September 30, the artistic path of professionals who have been outstanding in different aspects of performing arts such as Rafael Navarro (stage), Javier Sarsanedas (lights and sound) and Caridad García (makeup) as part of the closing event at the Panama Theater Festival.

With respect to the recognitions Isabel Burgos, national director of the arts of MiCultura noted that "this year we decided to recognize the technicians that work around theatrical art, the theater is a discipline that encapsulates many things and that thanks to people such as these, we cannot do theater."

For his part, Rafael Navarro, an honored cultural manager, emphasized his great distinction as we have always recognized the work of artists and producers but rarely to those who are part of production as sound, light and space professionals who ride his stage and have been dedicated for 40 years to the theater and his passion.

Prior to the surrender of these recognitions, the audience enjoyed the staging of "Fragments of Parallel Worlds" by the Company Study Circo where through contemporary dance mixed with circus techniques such as rings, keys, stunts, malabars among others, six youth brought the public at different scenes, for the realities and experiences of each person, as someone who goes late for his work, while at that same time another harvest the earth, another exercise and so forth.

"Fragments of parallel worlds" was part of more than 20 presentations among staging, dramatized reading, workshops and contiguous, face and face-to-face and virtual, of the 2022 edition of this festival, through which MiCultura shows the different audiences and promotes them to visit theatres so that they enjoy the quality and talent of those performing theater in Panama, especially through the stories they tell us through their works.

Also at this closing gala, they received certificates of participation, some of the producers that participated in this version of the festival as Manuel Paz, Roy Williams, Mariela Aragon, Abdiel Tapia, Benjamin Ávila and others.
