New talents come into the gallery of visual and musical excellence of the arts

The award gala of the 16 winners in the different categories of the national visual arts contest, Roberto Lewis and music, Roque Codero was also an opportunity to pay tribute to Sandra Eleta, Amalia Tapia, Manuel Aman Vásquez and Adriano Herre abarría (q.e.p.d) for their contribution to enriching the Panamanian arts.

At his emotional ceremony at the National Theater, the Minister of Culture, Giselle González Villarrué emphasized the contribution to the world of visual arts by Retractor, Landscape, Teacher, Muralist and Isthmeño sculptor Roberto Lewis and Master Roque Cordero, the most unexpected composer of the nation.

Meanwhile, Isabel Burgos, National Director of The Arts, emphasized and thanked the winners "because they once decided to take the difficult way to express themselves through the brush, voices, pixels, musical instruments, their hands and their imagination."

At the ceremony, winners from the five categories of the fifth edition of "Roque Cordero," who together received about $18 million, and the first three locations from the four categories of version 42 of "Roberto Lewis" became creditors to about $39 million.

The best winners were at Roque Cordero: Daniel Fernando Oropeza Espinoza with the composition "Retracting from the Present" and at Coro: Erick Parris Browne with his work "Bramido" and at Casa: Emiliano Pardo Tristan with his work "The echo we will be" and at Orquesta Symphony: Samuel Ivan Emmanuel Robles with his inspiration "The Martirio of Francanca de Carbajal."

Meanwhile, at Roberto Lewis there were three awards in each of the categories as painting, sculpture, digital art and photography as winners in Digital Art, first prize was for Patricia Solange Ochy with the work "Mother Soltera to New Emperor" and second prize was earned by María Gabriela Herrera with his work entitled "La Apparición" and third place was obtained by Jorge Tristan Sánchez with his work "My only inheritance, his education" while his first and only mention was for Javier Alejandro Solís with his work "ReGenesis."

The best works were headed by Eric Batista and his first place with: "The gates are open" and his second place was earned by Nelson Hackin with "The Last Meadow of the Day" and his third place was for Ileana Suyín Forero with his work "Between Green and Red" and his honorary mentions were Abner Veltier Arauz with his photo "Ávila, Misterio Wonaan" and Balbino Macías with "Tierra dado de oro."

In Sculpture Paola Moscatelli of Miralles was outstanding with the creation "manada" to get his first place, while Poonam Chatlani with his work "Power fight" became his second place and Alicia Núñez Kiki with his work "Mútualism in Leva" earned his third place. Honorary mentions in Sculpture were for Jorge Camaño with "Prisoner of Promises" and Julio León Miranda with his work "Dancing to Nude Skin is Life."

The first place in the category of Painting was Ahamed Halif Hassan Espinoza with his work "La Cobertura" and his second place was for Enrique Jaramillo Barnes with his title "On the same ship" and his third place was for Jorge Manuel Chen with his painting "Anxiety is drawing me."
