From this Thursday, August 11, at the Juan Manuel Cedeño Gallery of MiCultura at Casco Antiguo the photo exhibition is open "A look at the National Ballet"with a sample of costumes and accessories that have been used at the stage of the classic The Bayadere.
The exhibition is composed of 22 color and other images in black and white format with recognition of great Panamanian dance figures and international guests such as Maruja Herrera, Sasa Adamovic, Cristina Quijano, Alexa Gutiérrez, Roxana Rufo and Javier Jara, Nitzia Cucalón, Ginela Vásquez, Teresa Mann, Julio Araúz and Josefina Nicoletti, among others.
Other iconic figures are also shown as Margot Fonteyn, with a high name in the history of ballet and dancers currently belong to this company with his directors Graciela Guillén, Gloria Barrios and Professor Alberto González, who are also part of the personalities who were captured by photographers such as Carlos Alemán, Ivan Sepúlveda, Agustín Gonçalves, Lois Iglesias, Gustavo Barrios and others.
The exhibition forms part of the activities organized for the anniversary month of the National Ballet of Panama, that will come to five decades and highlight the dance in our country that will be free of charge at that gallery.
Isabel Burgos, national director of La Artes, stated that "with this exhibition begins the journey of a great celebration for the 50 years of movement, dance and art. That's for you, the work that dancers do is for the public and I want to give you the good news that the exhibition goes on tour to the interior of the country."
Visitors will be able to attend the exhibition at the following times: from Monday to Sunday to August 22 from 9: 00 to 5: 00 p.m. and after that they will conduct a tour at other spaces such as Hotel Bristol and commercial centers on soon to be announced.
The celebration will continue with the galas that will be held from 18 to 21 August to 8 p.m. at the National Theater with free entrance and as a sole requirement have a complete vaccination schedule (3 doses).
