Children of the "FURTHER CAUSE" Hog of Colón DISFRUTARON CONCIERTO OF NATIONAL NETWORK OF ORQUESTS

The Special Education Programme of the Panama Youth Orchestra and Chorus Network of the Ministry of Culture, module of Colón was added to the program of concerts organized as part of the activities to celebrate the sixth anniversary of the Foundation of the Network.

That concert was attended by 20 residents of Casa Providencia's Home, and they have been trained by his teachers, Eliel Hinestroza and Javier Vivies, who have been accompanied by a group of teachers and have supported them as they conduct the concert.

Anabel Urbina, co-ordinator of the Special Education Programme stated that this project has been for the first time to reach children with different disabilities and at institutions such as Providencia.

"We are happy, because we have results from previous years's work we have been performing virtual with a girl from home who's already participating in the national ensemble of the Network," Urbina said.

Alexandra Navarro, director of operations at Casa Providencia Colon, emphasized that the Special Education program has been of great blessing to the children of the hostel, "we have seen positive results in our children, who rejoice every time they listen to the tunes and manage to repeat some rhythms, every little accomplishment for them, is a giant joy."

The attendees were able to enjoy the skills of the boys performing pieces such as Dat Renato, The ship and the song of La Lechua, where one of the girls at home accompanied with his voice Linda Rosa Vera, a member of the National Orchestra of the Network.

Casa Providencia () is the first Home and Center for Social and Disability and Parental Care for children at risk in Panama.
