Sixth Anniversary of the Orchestra Network shows the work of talented young people

With the participation of more than 60 young people, the Network of Orchestra and Youth Choirs of Panama celebrated its sixth anniversary with the National Youth Chorus concert on a talented night at the National Theater.

Giselle González Villarrué, Minister of Culture congratulated the youth, teachers and parents for their hard work and called them to continue to transform their lives and to continue to grow, "for where his vocation lies his prosperity and his well-being."

For his part, María del Carmen Sacasa, a resident representative of the United Nations Programme (UNDP), called on them to join these initiatives and to form partnerships and to be part of this much-needed social transformation throughout the world.

The musical repertoire was directed by the teachers, Paola Cuellar Rendon and German Pinzón Jiménez, with pieces by Mozart and Mendelssohn, such as the KV 317 Coronation Mass, and Iwill sing with the Spirit, among other great compositions.

The challenges of the evening were young leaders of the Coral program of Santiago, Aguadulce, Azuero, Changuinola at Bocas del Toro and Panama Centro.

That programme was an initiative of the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) with the support of the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and its current director was Electra Castillo.

That's the first concert at La Red de Orquestas y Coros Juveniles de Panama, thus starting a number of activities in different spaces and provinces where there are modules of this program.

The National Youth Symphony Orchestra will have its presentation at the National Theater at 8: 00 p.m. this Saturday, July 9.
