Portugal and Panama have close cultural links

The Portuguese ambassador to Panama, Gonçalo Tele Gomes and the Minister and Vice-Minister of Culture, Giselle González Villarrué and Gabriel González, respectively, held a work meeting with a view to sharing different experiences and best practices with respect to cultural matters that can be implemented in Panama.
The meeting that was held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Culture served to discuss issues such as the network of libraries, conservation, training and revitalization of heritage, cultural exchanges as well as a National Plan of the Arts.
Both Minister González Villarrué and Vice Minister Gabriel González welcomed the initiatives put forward by the Lusa diplomatic delegation and expressed their readiness to join efforts and strengthen actions to strengthen links and to establish working relations and cultural cooperation between both nations.
