With the "Afro Festival," the family celebrated the Black Age Month

National and foreign public enjoyed an afternoon full of colorful, music, crafts and delicious cuisine at the Afro Festival, held at Cathedral Square, at the Casco Antiguo of Panama City, an event organized by the Casco Antiguo office (OCA) of the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura).

The cultural offer of the "Festival Afro," as part of the Black Age Month included a gallery of congo dances by the Diana Delgado Folkloric Set, where most of its members were older adults.

Also, the public saw a photo exhibition of old San Felipe images by Ruben Kennedy, production of bordes and turbines, handmade jobs with different articles and accessories characteristic of Afro culture and a very colorful fashion parade by the well-known designer with more than 30 years of trajectory, Alex Adames.

While attendees enjoyed artistic performances and different attractions, they tasted a menu such as one pot, cod turret, guandoo rice, fish in all its varieties, desserts such as the traditional "bon" and other food from the Antillean cuisine.

In addition to these activations at the Festizo afro, we have the presence of Patricia Palacios and Cecire Yearwood, Queen and Princess SAMAAP (Society of Friends of the Afro-Antillean Museum of Panama), respectively, who danced and interacted with those present.
