MiCultura at the Sugar Feria

On April 22, Giselle González Villarrué, Minister of Culture, opened the pavilion of the Ministry of Culture at the International Sugar Fair at La Villa de Los Santos, an event with the presence of the president of the Republic, Laurentino Cortizo Cohen.

The MiCultura pavilion, located at local No. 82 at the Azuero fair, will offer visitors, during fair days, a variety of crafts made with different autochthonous materials, handmade by 60 artisan.

The visitor who enters the space of MiCultura will find the artisan wealth of the province among them hats of different forms, different necks, jewelry in general, cutlarks, consumer crafts, chaquiras and mobles among other national products.

It also includes an display of oil and acrylic pollages and paintings.

During fair days, MiCultura will conduct different artistic activities at the main stage, including the presentation of the Panama National Ballet and the youth of the International Civil Dance Festival at Couples, "DANZPARE Juvenil Panama 2022."

The Ministry of Culture through the National Government, through national fairs, seeks to provide responses and solutions to the artisan affected by the pandemic.

Prior to this opening, Minister González Villarrué participated in the community work tour at La Villa de Los Santos and gave up books for the Colmena Reading Center,
