Panama's National Ballet premiere "The Vivaldi Stations

With an evening full of color and delicate movements perfectly harmonized, Panama's National Ballet began at the National Theater the season of "2022 Presentations" with the staging of the classics of "Paquita" and "The stations of Vivaldi."
They were two free functions, following all biosecurity measures with which the Panamanian Ballet begins his walk to his golden weddings in August and have prepared a number of presentations at different locations throughout the country.
"Paquita" has been considered as one of the great classics since his first performance in Russia in the 19th century by French master Marius Petipa, author of other popular works such as "The Lake of the Cisnes," "Cascanutias" and "The Sleeping Beauty," that have been recreated at earlier shows by our National Ballet.
The audience was able to enjoy the skills of 23 dancers and seekers who in the first part of the evening personified the well-known dance piece "Paquita" performed by dancers Manuela Navarro and Melissa Gaona, Thursday and Friday respectively and as accompaniments Yahir Castro and Edgar Santamaria.
In a second part, the dancers brought the public to an unforgettable journey through the changes of nature and its characteristic, with the presentation of the "Vivaldi Stations," choreography adapted for these functions by María Elena Jiménez, Juan Carlos Costoya, José Alberto Villamil and Graciela Guillén.
Spring was the first to take the stage where the flowers and the singing of the birds indicate their arrival, followed by summer with a texture of sounds with more movements, continuing with fall and culminating with winter.
Gloria Barrios, Executive Director of the National Ballet, expressed his emotion about this new season of shows and mainly about their program to celebrate the 50 years of the ballet.
The next presentations at the National Ballet will be at the Sugar Feria on April 29 as part of International Dance Day and next May 12 and 13 at the Balboa Theater, among others that will be announced through the networks of MiCultura.
