COREA and PANAMA PACTAN SPECIFIC AGREEMENT FOR CULTURAL COOPERATION

The Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) and its Embassy in Panama have signed an agreement on cultural cooperation with the aim of sharing initiatives aimed at the implementation, formalization and promotion of cultural activities and exchange between the two nations.

Activities established by the convention include organizing dialogues about Korea's contributions to the Culture of Panama, performing the K-Pop World Festival of Panama 2022, organizing gastronomic festivals and the traditional dance festival.

The Minister of Culture, Giselle González Villarrué, emphasized "as manager of this cultural house she is honored to contribute with our historic relations, through the development and promotion of art and culture that are the wisdom and beliefs of our peoples."

At the same time, she thanked the ambassador and urged him to continue his exploration with other initiatives leading to new agreements between the two countries that will strengthen "our values and benefit our bilateral relations at cultural level."

For his part, Ambassador Jeong Jinkyu of the Republic of Korea reiterated his thanks to those working to promote the relations of both countries and said that Panama and Korea are connected and work together in a number of sectors, both culturally and economically.
