Fifty-three authors from among writers and poets put forward their works the "Meeting of Independent Writers" and poetic recital organized by the Ministry of Culture that was held on Saturday March 26 at the Chat Arco at Casco Antiguo.
From 12: 00 noon, the Central Plaza del Arco Chato became the headquarters of the exhibition of works such as novels, poemaries, stories and essays of the writers who participated in the meeting.
The Minister of Culture, Giselle González Villarrué, referred to this literary quote expressed his complacency with "sharing with so much local talent" because their minds are "constant and infinite source of creations that form part of our literary collection."
The incumbent of Culture congratulated the authors for how they reflect different emotions as laughter, suspense, rhymes, fantasies, fiction, stories, nostalgia and joys.
Linda Astwood, president of an independent writers' union, highlighted the organization of this type of cultural space because it allows young writers an opportunity to show their works and that more and more are interested in reading by society.
Elizabeth Hay, who put forward his latest production "Wild Souls" also emphasized the importance of these kind of events that are aimed at promoting support for authors and that raise the public's interest in using literary work.
The meeting included discussions, writers' panel, who explain the motivations and inspiration to write his works, and also counts stories, narrations, promotion, and sale of books and closed with a concert of singing and poetry with the participation of artists Rod Luque, Julie Minelli, Razmy Kant and Melanie Taylor, among others.
