Artists affected by Covid-19 will get Digital Vale from Plan Panama Solidario

Panama, 30 April 2020. Research and Cultural Professionals registered with the Ministry of Culture are included in the third stage of the Panama Solidarity Plan to receive the Digital Vale, through digital transfers of 80 pits that will be effective with the personal identity card that will work as a debit card.

The gradual delivery of the Digital Vale will start with 325 branches of 13 supermarket chains throughout the country and next week, they will integrate pits and minisjobs.
Cultural Minister Carlos Aguilar Navarro explained that this management of the Panama Solidarity Plan will expedite processes for the benefit of citizens registered with Cultural and Creative Industries and give more transparency to the provision of support to Panamanian people affected by the COVID19 pandemic.
For registration at the platform, Aguilar Navarro reported that artists have to enter the portal www.MiCultura.gob.pa and search for the option "Take Now!, place their data.
"That facilitates the registration of all participants in the activities so that they can have access to both the Digital Vale and to courses and programs offered by the Ministry of Culture," she said.
Panama is the first country on the continent and one of the first in the world to use an identity card for transfers to buy food, medicines and cleaning and hygiene products, emphasized the president.
The delivery of the Digital Vale, which provides continuity to the delivery of food and bonus bags, will help Panamanian people to meet the basic needs of food, medicine and cleaning and disinfecting goods. To date, assistance has reached more than 1 million people.
To credit the Digital Valor, the personal identity card bar code will be used using a central system designed for this purpose.
