Panama and the Republic of Korea strengthen cultural ties

The Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) and its Embassy in Panama agreed to share initiatives aimed at the implementation, formalization and promotion of activities and cultural exchange between them as part of their 60-year relations with the Republic of Korea.

The Korean delegation was headed by Ambassador Jeong Jinkyu, second consul secretary, Heenam Choi and interpreter Jae Seob Ko, who were welcomed by Minister of Culture, Carlos Aguilar Navarro and members of his work team.

The conduct of gastronomic festivals, projections of Korean films, dance shows, artistic events, and pictorial exhibitions were some of the actions proposed at the meeting table between embassy and MiCultura personnel.

The possibility of establishing collaborative mechanisms to conduct training and workshops in cultural and artistic matters, creative industries, audiovisual production, entrepreneurship and crafts was also discussed.
