MiCultura DETAIN CHANGMARIN LEGATE

On the occasion of the 100th birthday of the poet Carlos Francisco Changmarín, next February 26, the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) through the National Section of The Arts and the Changmarín Foundation paid a tribute to the illustrious son of Veraguas.

The National Theater was home to this evening filled with anecdotes with memories of the most outstanding contributions of the Insigna veragüense, called with care as "Chico Changmarín" who was master, folchlorist, musician, journalist, activist, politician, writer and especially a great nationalist.

Abril Changmarín Romero, daughter of the illustrious Panamanian person representing the Foundation and who was the author of his biography expressed his honour to his father at his evening with artistic events such as poetry and tenths, among other events.

At the event, the Minister of Culture, Carlos Aguilar Navarro highlighted some characteristics of his figure "Chico" Changmarín, emphasizing that "He was always a great fighter. He never gave up with the challenges and challenges that his life put at his face. He's an example of his creator committed to his work as a writer and his status as a responsible citizen who believes in justice, equality, education and culture."

During his evening, Lia Méndez, a granddaughter of the poet Changmarín, gave to the Minister Aguilar Navarro a work with a watercolor as an recognition to his management to highlight the figure of his illustrious sumphis.
