Panama wins dance contest in Miami

The dancers of the Academy of Danzas Stepes, Conservatorio de Danzas, Ballet Academy by Maruja Herrera and Juliet from the National Ballet Castle of Panama have been awarded with different awards at the International Ballet Competition of Miami, with an outstanding special prize from the founding directors to Juliet from the National Ballet Castle of Panama.

The Panamanian delegation was composed of 27 dancers between the ages of 12 and 24, who demonstrated in each of their presentations the artistic quality, performing skills and stage mastery.

Another of the awards awarded by Panama at such prestigious competition was the best Ballet School prize at the Panama Academy of Dance Steps while Julietta Del Castillo also earned first place and bronze medal at the 19 to 24 year old division.

To this international fair Juliet del Castillo was accompanied by Yahir Castro, and also by the National Ballet with whom she performed the "Pas de Deux de El Casanueces" and a contemporary duo In Between de Analida Galindo and as a soloist the variation of the "First Act of Giselle" and the variation of the Grand Pas Classique.
