MiCultura Highlights Highlights of Braille Reading

Following the inclusion policies advanced by the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura), 88 signage with Braille system have been put into the building that serves as headquarters for this entity so that people with visual disabilities can have access to as much information as they have been at their disposal.

The 4th of January of every year, decreed by the UN since 2019, as a date dedicated to highlight the Braille Reading, a system that converts the word written into a tactile form for the benefit of people with visual disabilities throughout the world.

To assist people with visual disabilities signage with this system have been installed in reception areas, elevators, entrance doors to the floors, toilets and office.

That type of writing was designed to facilitate text reading for people with visual disabilities and was created by French Louis Braille to facilitate reading to an unseer child and later adopted by people under these conditions.
