The authorities of the Province of Herrera, especially of the headquarters district, Chitre organized a ride this Sunday to conduct a tour of the "Torcha de la Lib erty 200 wishes for Panama" through the main streets of the Harreheno district.

The Torcha was created at the initiative of the authorities of La Villa de Los Santos and welcomed by the National Commission of the Bicentennial of Panama's Independence of Spain, chaired by the Minister of Culture, Carlos Aguilar Navarro.

The mayor of Chitre, Juan Carlos Huertas and the Governor of the province, Víctor Roca Cuan with the Club de Lions de Chitre organized the tour that forms part of the activities in that province.

The Torcha will stay at Chitre and will be delivered this Monday to the mayor of Parita to continue his tour of Herrera and will later be transferred to local authorities in the province of Veraguas.

That activity will end on November 28 in Panama City, with no first tour of the provinces of Coclé and Panama Oeste.
