The work of Arraijan artisan

At Community Labour Tour (GTC), in the Arraijan district, the president of the Laurentizo Cortizo Cohen Republic with the Minister of Culture Carlos Aguilar Navarro gave Special Recognition to the artisans Edgar Javier Castro Castillo and Ricardo Moreno Rodriguez for their extensive experience with production and teaching of artisan technologies that come from generation to generation.

The incumbent of Culture at the event emphasized that "this category will be given by law, the artisan will have to pass several tests and have to have many years of experience, but above all have to prove that his knowledge and his knowledge with his community and with his other citizens so that his tradition and cultural heritage will not be lost."

For his part Edgar Javier Castro expressed "as an artisan master this recognition enhances the work I have been doing years after years, I want to continue to share this knowledge to reach so many people who need crafts in Panama."

Castro, who has been exercising his profession for more than 25 years, provides training in crafts and production of recycled material and shivering, while Mr. Ricardo Moreno Rodriguez, is a painter and sculptor and builds musical instruments.

At the meeting, credits were given to 15 artisan of different categories in the textile, manufacturing, ceramics, leather, jewelry, jewelry and carved wood.

According to article 14 of Act 11 of 22 February 2011, the title as an artisan teacher corresponds to an honorary reference given by the National Handicrafts Section to artisans who, by their vast experience, are dedicated to production and teaching of artisan technologies that come from generation to generation.

Similarly, Ms Luzo Elena Corbez received an attestation of recognition from the President of the Republic as a mediator of the Colmena Plan program and from all the volunteers of the Colmena Readings Center and from the Readings of Arraijan Cabecera, Veracruz and Burunga.

The National Government through the Ministry of Culture has been following up with its actions with its national Government, with its aim of providing tools and benefits to citizens for better quality of life.

On this last community tour in the province of Western Panama, President Cortizo Cohen gave benefits and projects to the inhabitants of the Arraijan District by different state institutions.
