Delegation of the Inter-American Development Bank BID visited Panama

Cultural Minister Carlos Aguilar Navarro and Special Project Director Yessenia Sánchez participated from the first exploratory meeting with the delegation of the Inter-American Development Bank BID that visited Panama this week.

Representatives from different BID areas from both headquarters in Washington, D.C. and Panama met with national government authorities to explore Panama's conditions as headquarters for forthcoming BID events in 2022 and the Annual Assembly of Governors in 2023.

The Regent of Culture, in his statement welcomed the delegation of BID and expressed his appreciation for the support for projects advanced by MiCultura.

With the financing of the IDB, MyCultura implements projects such as the restoration of the Anthropological Museum, Reina Torres de Araúz and at the fort of San Lorenzo and Portobelo in the province of Colón.

The meeting was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Economics and Finance, who were the hosts, the Minister of Foreign Affairs with responsibility for Dayra Carrizo, personnel from the Government Innovation Authority, the National Migration Service and the Panama Tourism Authority.

Marlon Tábora, Executive Secretary of the BID, reiterated the commitment of the Representation of the BID Group in Panama to assist the country.
