MiCultura and ASSETS TRUST & CORPORATE SERVICES sign Trust Contract

The Ministry of Culture, through the National Cinema Directorate, is the monitoring body and performing body of the Fondo Cine, and is administered by a Trust as established by Executive Decree No. 136 of 2012 and known as FIDEICOMISO Fondo Cine.
The signing of the Fondo Cine Trust Administration Agreement, which was awarded to Assets Trust, by public tender in June 2021.
Carlos Aguilar Navarro, Minister of Culture, Sheila González, National Director of Cinema and José Manuel Marichal and Agnes Valderrama, members of ASSETS TRUST & CORPORATE SERVICES, were at the event.
The resources to be transferred by the Ministry of CULTURE to the Assets Trust Trust to form the Trust Heritage of FIDEICOSO Fondo Cine will be established for budget periods 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025.
The contract was signed by the Minister of Culture, Carlos Aguilar and by the Málaga ASSETS TRUST & CORPORATE SERVICES, José Manuel Marichal.
With this signing of this Agreement, we formalise the commitment between both parties, for the efficient and transparent administration of FIDEICOMISO Fondo Cine, which was established by Act 12 of 27 April 2012, that lays down the special regime of the Cinematographic and Audiovisual Industry, with the aim of supporting the training, education, production, production, distribution, commercialization and display of Panamanian audiovisual and cinematographic works.
