MiCultura COMPLETA 134 FACTS OF COLMENA LECTURE

The National Government through the Ministry of Culture (MiCultura) added new Colmenal Reading Centres in the provinces of Panama, Darién and the Wargandì region to total 134 and get closer every day to the goal of 300 of these types of spaces in the different cordments that are found in more vulnerable and difficult areas of the country.

In the Islas, the Minister of Culture, Carlos Aguilar Navarro, inaugurated two Colmena Reading Centres at the Reg of Taboga Cabecera and another at Otoca Oeste at the same time reached 579 trained reading promoters at national level.

At the same time, in the province of Darién, Deputy Minister Gabriel González opened three new spaces at the Javiza, Metetí and Wargandí Reds.

At the event, Vice-Minister González asked the inhabitants to come to the different centers and to integrate more people to be mediators to make use of them as they give knowledge and knowledge.

For his part Ana Cerna Regional Director of the Ministry of Culture at Darién emphasized that so far ten reading centers have been dedicated to the province, so "as director we will follow up this project, we will not leave them because we recognize that through reading they have opened up doors to a better future."

Yajaira Vásquez, mother of family and mediator of the reading space at Yaviza's Santa Librada School emphasized that "through reading we can be better writers, and reading helps us have better language and invites mothers to be encouraged to participate in these spaces that are a source of knowledge for our children."
