MiCultura calls to calm and face together the Codid-19 pandemic

Panama, March 15, 2020. The Minister of Culture, Carlos Aguilar Navarro, called for the call of President Laurentino Cortizo Cohen's good governance to stay calm, to avoid alarming and to follow the protocol of the health authorities with respect to the Covio-19 pandemic.

On cultural issues, Minister Aguilar explained that the organisations and companies related to events have communicated the suspension, until further notice, of all artistic activity that generates public agglomeration, including fairs, parties and festivals as well as artistic and cultural performances and activities as part of the prevention measures announced by the Government.

Aguilar Navarro reiterated that the Ministry of Culture has postponed activities that have been reflected in the cultural agenda, among them the massive events of the summer season Arte en Movimiento, presentations of the Symphony Orchestra, theater works, festivals and fairs at different points of the country or activities in spaces with a high public influx.

"That's the time for all Panamanian people to be united to face this pandemic, as our president Laurentino Cortizo Cohen emphasized in his messages," stated the incumbent of Culture.
