Authorities evaluate building status at Colón

The Minister of Culture (MiCultura) Carlos Aguilar Navarro held a working meeting with the mayor of the town of Colón, Alex Lee, the governorate of the province, Iracema de Dale and Jairo Salazar to seek alternatives related to the conservation of cultural heritage in the Casco Antiguo of the colonics capital.

They accompanied the incumbent of MiCultura, Secretary General José Ismael Herrera, Director of Legal Affairs, María Luisa Lindo and Assistant Director of Historical Heritage Itzela Quiros and both parties put forward alternatives to seek a solution to the problem that represents the number of buildings that are found in the apples identified under Act 47 of Historical Heritage as part of the historic architecture of Colón.

At the meeting, the incumbent of MiCultura reiterated his commitment to colonics so that the town had the glow and that the inhabitants deserve.

"We have been working today on a number of ideas without passing out of the framework of the Act, we have some tasks and we look forward to meeting again and making this reality and soon to be able to see a town of Colón, as colonians dream their town," emphasized Minister Aguilar Navarro.

He advanced that both parties are analyzing the issue through a law or presenting a new law and starting to rehabilitate the town's Casco Antiguo, stated the mayor of the colonist capital.

Congressman Salazar and Governor Ayarza de Dale have also expressed their support for defending the best interests of colonics while at the same time conserving the architectural wealth of the main resort of the Atlantic Coast.
